Auto Discount Definitions
- Advanced Shopping: This discount is applied to a policy if the AAA Auto Insurance new business quote is initiated by the customer one or more days in advance of the policy inception date, and the applicant has at least six months of continuous prior insurance coverage
- Auto Insurance Loyalty: Insurance Persistency for existing insureds is the number of full years the named insured or spouse has had a continuous AAA auto insurance policy (at policy inception). In order to maintain the insurance persistency, the AAA auto insurance policy cannot lapse for more than 30 days.
- Companion Home: This discount is applied to a policy if the named insured or rated spouse has a AAA Homeowner policy (the discount is different if the companion policy is a condo or renters).
- Distant Student: The distant student driver is not the named insured or spouse of the named insured. The distant student driver temporarily lives at and attends school more than 100 miles from home. The distant student driver is “rated” age 15 - 25 and does not have a vehicle at school.
- Good Student: Discount for High School or Full Time College student with a verifiable GPA of 3.0 or more.
- AAA Membership Discount: This discount or savings is applied to a policy if any driver rated on the policy is a AAA Member.
- AAA Membership Loyalty: Membership Persistency is the number of full years any rated driver on the policy has had a AAA Membership (at policy inception).
- Multi-Car: This discount is applied to a policy if there is more than one vehicle rated on the policy.
- Payment Plan: Discount based on having a Payment Plan.
- TeenSMART: Discount offered when qualified teen drivers complete a qualified program by the time they are 19.
Home Discount Definitions
- Auto Insurance Loyalty: Insurance Persistency for existing insureds is the number of full years the named insured or spouse has had a continuous AAA auto insurance policy (at policy inception). In order to maintain the insurance persistency, the AAA auto insurance policy cannot lapse for more than 30 days.
- Companion Auto: This discount is applied to a policy if the named insured has AAA Auto Insurance product.
- Home Insurance Loyalty: This discount is based on how long an active AAA Home Insurance policy has been continuously in effect.
- Mature Policy Holder: Discount based on age of oldest insured.
- AAA Membership Discount: Applies to an insured with an active AAA Membership in any AAA Club in the United States.
- AAA Membership Loyalty: This discount is based on how long an active AAA Membership has been continuously in effect.
- Newly Purchased: Discount given when a new loan is used to acquire a home within the past three years.
- Payment Plan: Discount based on having a Payment Plan.
- Roof Renovation: Homes with verifiable qualified roofing renovations (100% Replacement).
- Zero Claims: Discount given based on number years without a chargeable claim.
