How to Drive Online

This interactive 25-hour online course fulfills requirements for the California learner’s permit and supplements driver education. The course:

  • Offers an engaging, research-based curriculum
  • May help improve decision-making behind the wheel and build lifelong safe driving habits 
  • Primary Members who purchase the course and are enrolled in automatic renewal may be eligible to add their 14-18 year old student as a new Associate Member for the remainder of their Membership term at no additional cost.*

The available discount is up to 5% in Alaska, Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah, and Montana, and up to 10% in Wyoming. Enrollment in the RoadWise course is required. Discount varies by state and does not apply to all coverages. Discount will remain on the policy so long as the policy term effective date is within 3 years of course completion date. Course must be re-taken every 3 years to maintain the discount. In the event of certain driving incidents or violations the discount will terminate.
