Michelle Robertson is a freelance writer and PhD candidate in English literature based in Los Angeles, California. She previously worked as a producer at SFGATE and as the lead writer at ViewFind. Her writing has appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle, Orion magazine, New York Times’ California Today newsletter, Politico’s California Playbook, and more. Her essay, “Recovery Season,” was listed as a notable work in the 2016 Best American Science and Nature Writing anthology. She is currently working on a book of poetry entitled Hate Mail.
