After over 80 years as your trusted experiential rating resource, we have now revamped and evolved our program to better serve you—our AAA Members. You’ll now see our fresh new Diamond rating icons at hotel and restaurant locations that have passed our rigorous professional inspections. These ratings have been redefined to tell you what each property offers and how much users liked their experience there.
For as long as we have had our program, we have excluded substandard options from consideration, proudly recommended only those establishments that meet or exceeded our high inspection standards. We’ve kept our Five, Four, and Three Diamonds ratings, and to avoid the perception that lower numbers mean low quality, we have rolled our One and Two Diamonds ratings into one new quality rating—Approved.
AAA Diamonds ratings are based on unbiased inspection guidelines, providing clear decision-making information you can rely on. They set AAA apart as having a higher level of quality and accountability in a sea of consumer review sites and service.
