Why take a Viking ocean voyage?
Want to enjoy more time in port?
On a Viking ocean voyage, you'll sail into the heart of your destination so you can explore up close and in depth. The size of the Viking ocean ships—with under 1,000 guests—allows them to dock where mega-liners cannot.
Guests enjoy central berths in cities such as Sydney, Venice and London; and in seldom-visited ports like Kotor, Montenegro, and Scotland's Shetland Islands.
Viking guests enjoy privileged access to seldom-seen collections with before- and after-hours entry to world class museums, private tours and special guest events at private homes, palaces, and cultural performances.
Do you enjoy elegant, modern design?
Viking ocean ships are designed down to the most minute detail—from the Scandinavian-inspired Spa, a Nordic sanctuary of wellness; to the Explorers' Lounge, where guests can share their latest adventures with fellow travelers.
You won't find casinos or kiddie pools (guests must be 18 or older) onboard; only open, light-filled spaces to inspire and refresh you along your journey. The main pool has a retractable roof for a calming oasis and year-round swims and soaks.
Staterooms are elegantly functional with heated floors, intuitive remote controls, and anti-fog mirrors.
Are you a fan of al fresco dining?
Viking ocean voyages offer more al fresco dining experiences than any other ship at sea with the Aquavit Terrace. Guests can also enjoy meals at the World Café and The Restaurant.
On Viking ocean voyages, there's never a charge for alternative restaurants and beer, wine, and soft drinks are always complimentary with lunch and dinner.
The Kitchen Table is a one-of-a-kind optional onboard cooking school. On sea days, learn to cook dishes highlighting your upcoming destination and on port days, handpick ingredients at a local market and then learn how to prepare regional and elegant dishes.
