To schedule a MVD appointment at your local AAA Branch:

  1. Find your AAA Branch.
  2. Click on the branch location to display its location page.
  3. Click on the Schedule an Appointment button.
  4. A form will appear. Enter your name and phone number, then press Continue.
  5. A list of available services will pop up. Choose MVD.
  6. A list of MVD services available at your branch will appear. Choose one and then click on Schedule an Appointment.
  7. Choose your preferred appointment date and time from the available options.

For your convenience, many AAA Branches offer extended hours and are open on Saturday.

To transfer an out-of-state license or apply for a state ID, you’ll need:

  • A valid AAA Membership card (non-Members pay a $40 convenience fee)
  • A valid driver’s license, government-issued ID, or MVD ID card
  • One physical documents with your home address
    These can be documents like a rental agreement, mortgage statement, or utility bill. The documents must be in your name, show your current physical address (P.O. Boxes are not allowed), match the residential address on your application, and be unexpired or dated within the past year.
  • Your MVD paperwork
  • Your payment for MVD services (AAA accepts all major credit cards including Visa®, Mastercard®, Discover®, and American Express®.)
  • An original or certified copy of a birth certificate with a raised seal (not from the hospital) or a valid passport
    Originals are required. Copies are not acceptable.

To apply, renew, or replace your REAL ID at AAA, you will need to bring the following documents along with your MVD application:

  • Proof of your identity: This includes documents like a certified U.S. birth certificate or a U.S. passport.
  • Certified name change documents: These are only required if the name on your identification documents is different.
  • Proof of social security number: This can be your social security card, a W-2 form, or a paycheck stub that displays your social security number.
  • Two physical documents with your home address: These can be documents like a rental agreement, mortgage statement, or utility bill. The documents must be in your name, show your current physical address (P.O. Boxes are not allowed), match the residential address on your application, and be unexpired or dated within the past year.
