What do I need to apply, renew, or replace my REAL ID at AAA?
To apply, renew, or replace your REAL ID at AAA, you will need to bring the following documents along with your MVD application:
- Proof of your identity: This includes documents like a certified U.S. birth certificate, a U.S. passport.
- Certified name change documents: These are only required if the name on your identification documents is different.
- Proof of social security number: This can be your social security card, or a W-2 form or paycheck stub that displays your social security number.
- Two physical documents with your home address: These can be documents like a rental agreement, mortgage statement, or utility bill. The documents must be in your name, show your current physical address (P.O. Boxes are not allowed), match the residential address on your application, and be unexpired or dated within the past year.
A valid AAA Membership card: Non-members will need to pay a $20 convenience fee.
