What do I need to complete my license renewal at AAA?
- Valid AAA Membership Card ($20 convenience fee charged to non-Members)
- Valid driver’s license, government-issued ID or MVD ID card
- Your MVD paperwork
- Your payment for MVD services—we accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover & American Express)
To renew a noncommercial driver's license, the license cannot be suspended, revoked, or expired.
What do I need to transfer an out-of-state license or apply for a state identification card?

Can I do Montana drivers' education through AAA?
Yes! Montana Learn 2 Drive is now available for individuals who are interested in obtaining a Montana driver's license for the first time, renewing a non-commercial DL, or simply to review the rules of the road.
- AAA Members ($xx) and non-Members ($yy) are eligible to take the online training
- All applicable traffic laws, road signs, and tips for safe driving are covered, plus much more
- Behind-the-wheel training is not included in this course
