Meet Juan Bermudez. As a Hispanic/Latino leader at AAA, he has dedicated his talents across the company and demonstrates the value of Teamwork to better serve our Members. He also plays a key role in cultivating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
What makes you proud to work at AAA?
Serving Members to the best of our abilities is the #1 goal. Our commitment to Members was evident at the start of the pandemic when the organization mobilized to reach out to Members and found new ways to help them. Notably, MWG is now the 3rd largest AAA auto club and I’m proud to be a part of that.
You’re celebrating 8 years at AAA. What motivates you to come to work every day?
I still learn something new every day and I get to work with great Team Members. AAA also does a good job of providing both horizontal and vertical opportunities for career growth. During my time here I have had the opportunity to work in Sales Operations, Finance and currently, Total Rewards.
What AAA values (humility, integrity, teamwork, service) have you leaned on to remain resilient?
Teamwork! I believe the best way to be successful and resilient in a growing and fast paced business is through Teamwork. We never let a peer fail and support each other every day.
As Unidos BRG Co-Chair, what should Team Members and others know about BRGs?
In addition to supporting Hispanic/Latino(a) Team Members through guest speakers, networking and giving back, we help the organization mirror the communities we serve. To do this we partner with Talent Acquisition to attract more Hispanic/Latino(a) talent and are working on an initiative to improve Hispanic/Latino(a) representation in leadership roles.
What is your proudest moment related to the Unidos BRG?
At the end of 2020, despite the pandemic, Unidos was able to raise several thousand dollars for charity. More recently, Unidos Team Members were able to participate in a valuable leadership workshop. These are the types of opportunities we are proud to provide.
What would people be surprised to learn about you?
I love snowboarding! I started in high school and now I’m teaching my two daughters the ropes.
