Carleen Cullen
Founder and Executive Director, Cool the Earth and the Ride and Drive Clean Collaboration. Cool the Earth is an environmental nonprofit organization launched in 2007.
In 2017, under the umbrella of Cool the Earth, Carleen launched Ride and Drive Clean, a nonprofit collaboration focused on electric vehicles and e-bikes. Ride and Drive Clean has educated tens of thousands of e-curious folks and inspired more than a thousand people to switch to an EV.
In 2022, as part of her national advocacy for EV drivers, Carleen and Cool the Earth studied the reliability of public DC fast charging stations in the Bay Area. The findings shook up the industry, resulting in new federal standards for EV chargers.
Today, Carleen has joined the National Charging Experience Consortium. Working under the leadership of Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg and Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm (pictured), Carleen will advocate for Consumers to create a reliable and accessible charging experience for all.
When Carleen is not guiding the electric transportation revolution, she rides her e-bike on the streets and trails.
