Official Rules (“Official Rules”)
NO PURCHASE OR MEMBERSHIP NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
1. DESCRIPTION: The AAA Cheyenne Grand Opening Cruise Giveaway ("Sweepstakes") will take place on September 19, 2025 between approximately 10:00:00 AM Mountain Time ("MT") and 2:00:00 PM MT ("Sweepstakes Period"). The Sweepstakes is sponsored by AAA Northern California, Nevada & Utah D/B/A AAA Mountain West Group (“Sponsor”), 1277 Treat Boulevard, Suite 1000, Walnut Creek, CA 94597.
2. ELIGIBILITY: The Sweepstakes is open to: (i) residents of Wyoming, USA, (ii) who are at least eighteen (18) years of age during the Sweepstakes Period, and (ii) enter in person at the AAA Cheyenne, WY branch (“AAA Location”) grand opening during the Sweepstakes Period. Each such person who enters or attempts to participate in this Sweepstakes in any way is referred to as an “Entrant” or collectively, the “Entrants”. Void in all other states and territories and where prohibited by law. Employees of Sponsor, any other entity participating in the design, administration, or fulfillment of this Sweepstakes, and each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, agencies, shareholders, officers, directors, members, successors, agents, and assigns, together with the Immediate Family Members and Household Members of such persons, are not eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes. For purposes of the Sweepstakes, "Household Members" means those people who share the same residence at least three months a year, whether or not related; "Immediate Family Members" means parents, stepparents, legal guardians, children, stepchildren, siblings, step-siblings, or spouses, regardless of where they live.
3. HOW TO ENTER: During the AAA Cheyenne, WY branch grand opening on September 19, 2025, eligible individuals who visit the AAA Cheyenne location during the Sweepstakes Period can scan a QR code and fill out an entry form (“Entry Form”). Eligible Entrants who complete the entry form during the Sweepstakes period including providing their name, date of birth, phone number, email, physical address will receive one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes.
Limit one (1) entry per person. Sponsor’s clock shall be the official timekeeper for all matters related to this Sweepstakes. Entries that are incomplete, garbled, corrupted, or unintelligible for any reason, including, but not limited to, computer or network malfunction or congestion, are void and will not be accepted. All information provided by Entrants becomes the property of the Sponsor. Entrants must visit the AAA Location during the Sweepstakes Period in person to enter. Data rates may apply if the Entrant enters via a web-enabled mobile device. See applicable wireless service provider terms for details on rates and capabilities.
Any attempt by an Entrant to exceed the entry limitations by using different or multiple emails, identities, registrations, or any other unfair methods may result in disqualification of the Entrant. Entries generated by a script, macro, or other automated means or that attempt to subvert the entry process will be disqualified. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any suspicious entries from an IP address or other identifiable source and any Entrant determined to have submitted or benefitted from the submission of such entries. Eligible Entrants must submit the requested entry information in accordance with these Official Rules. No other methods of entry will be accepted. Participation in the Sweepstakes constitutes the Entrant’s understanding of, and full and unconditional agreement to, and acceptance of these Official Rules. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any Entrant they deem to violate any term in these Official Rules. In case of a dispute over the identity of an Entrant, the primary individual associated with the email address provided in the Entry Form will be deemed the Entrant. The "Authorized Account Holder" of an email address is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the email address submitted at the time of entry. If a dispute regarding the identity of an Entrant cannot be resolved to the satisfaction of Sponsor, the affected entry will be deemed ineligible.
4. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION: Sponsor will conduct a random drawing from all eligible entries received to select one (1) potential winner (a "Potential Winner") within approximately twenty-four (24) hours after the Sweepstakes Period. Sponsor will attempt to contact the Potential Winner via phone within three (3) days of the Sweepstakes Period. If the Potential Winner does not respond within five (5) days of first attempt, Sponsor will try to contact the Potential Winner via phone or email (2 attempts) within seventy-two (72) hours after the Sweepstakes Period. Once Sponsor has contacted the Potential Winner and confirmed their information, Potential Winner will be required to verify their address and complete, sign, and return within five (5) days (or a shorter time if required by exigencies) an affidavit of eligibility, a liability release, and, unless prohibited by law, a publicity release and other legal documents as may be required by Sponsor in its sole discretion (collectively, the "Prize Claim Documents").
Failure by the Potential Winner to respond to the notification or return the Prize Claim Documents within the specified period may result in disqualification and forfeiture of any Prize (as defined below) they might otherwise be entitled to receive. In such cases, an alternate Potential Winner will be selected at random from the remaining eligible Entries. Sponsor will attempt to contact up to three (3) Potential Winners in accordance with the above procedure, after which the Prize may go unawarded if it remains unclaimed. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify anyone not fully complying with the Official Rules. The Potential Winner and Prize Claim Documents are subject to verification by Sponsor, whose decisions are final and binding in all matters related to this Sweepstakes. A Potential Winner will not be confirmed as the “Winner” until all properly executed documents are completed, returned and approved. Potential Winner must provide Sponsor with a valid social security number (via a completed IRS Form W-9 or other tax documentation required as part of the Prize Claim Documents or otherwise requested by Sponsor) for tax reporting purposes before they will be confirmed as a Winner and the Prize will be awarded. An IRS Form 1099 will be issued to Winner for the actual value of the Prize received for the year in which the Prize was fulfilled. All federal, state, and local taxes and any other costs and expenses associated with the receipt or use of the prize are the sole responsibility of the Winner.
5. PRIZE, ODDS & APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE (“ARV”): There is one (1) prize available in this Sweepstakes which consists solely of one (1) cruise provided by Celebrity Cruises Inc. ("Prize Provider"). Limit one (1) Prize per person and per household. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. The “Prize” consists of one (1) double occupancy veranda stateroom on a 3-5 night Caribbean sailing on Celebrity Cruises between 10/01/2025 to 9/30/2026 for Winner and one (1) travel companion (“Guest”). Winner's Guest must be at least twenty-five (25) years of age unless the Winner is a minor Guest's parent or legal guardian and Prize Provider allows minors to partake in the Prize. Guest (and in the case of a minor Guest, their parent, or legal guardian) will be required to verify their address and execute a "Travel Companion Release, as directed by Sponsor. Failure to return the executed Travel Companion Release within the specified period may result in forfeiture of the participation of the Guest.
ARV:
Prize Provisions: All prize details not specified in these Official Rules will be determined by Sponsor and/or Prize Partner in their sole discretion. All travel arrangements must be made through a designated AAA Travel planner. Travel dates are subject to availability and Sponsor and/or Prize Partner approval. Cruises are not valid during holidays, peak dates, special events, or blackout dates (including sailings during July and any sailing that falls over Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Holidays, Celebrity Xcel during its inaugural year from December of 2025 to December 2026). Travel must be booked and completed by any deadline set forth above, in the Prize Claim Documents, or in any other communications with/instructions from Sponsor or Prize Partner. Trip elements are subject to additional terms and conditions determined and provided by Prize Partner.
The Prize includes only those components specified above. All other expenses including but not limited to: taxes, transportation to/from the ship, other ground transportation, additional accommodations related to the trip, security fees, visa fees, fuel supplement, beverage package, Wi-Fi access, specialty dining, spa, passport fees, (travel) insurance, phone calls, baggage, souvenirs, meals except on the ship, parking, gratuities, taxes, incidental expenses, and any and all other costs and expenses associated with acceptance of and participation in the Prize by Winner and their Guest are not included and are the sole responsibility of the Winner. Winner and Guest must travel at the same time on the same itinerary. The cruise winner certificate is valid for new bookings only and cannot be used on preexisting bookings. Bookings made into a contracted group are not eligible. Additional restrictions and conditions may apply.
Sponsor is not responsible for a Potential Winner’s inability to accept or use the Prize for any reason, including, without limitation, inability to travel on the available dates or within the time period required. Once Winner accepts a Prize, failure to complete travel may not relieve Winner of their tax obligations associated with accepting the Prize. If the Winner elects to partake in any or all portions of their Prize with no Guest, the Prize will be awarded to the Winner only, and any remainder of the Prize will be forfeited and shall not be subject to further or alternative compensation. If a Winner does not accept or use the entire Prize, the unaccepted or unused part of the Prize will be forfeited and Sponsor will have no further obligation with respect to the Prize or portion of the Prize. The ARV of the Prize may vary depending on the points of departure and seasonal fluctuations; any difference between the stated ARV and the actual value of the Prize will not be awarded.
Winner must present a valid major credit card for check-in. Prize Provider may place an incidental hold on the credit card. Winner and Guest are responsible for complying with all applicable travel requirements, including obtaining, at their own expense, any necessary travel documentation (e.g., valid government-issued photo ID or Passport). Winner and Guest must have valid travel documents (e.g., valid government-issued photo ID or Passport) a minimum of 30 days before departure; failure to do so may result in forfeiture of Prize. Neither Sponsor nor Prize Partner will replace lost or stolen Prize components, including any certificates, tickets, travel vouchers, or allowances. Sponsor and Prize Partner are not liable for any expenses incurred or Prize components missed due to flight or ground transportation cancellation or delay. Sponsor and Prize Partner are likewise not liable for any Prize or Prize component to occur as scheduled for any reason, including, without limitation, due to inclement weather, mechanical failure, or staffing issues. Sponsor and Prize Partner reserve the right to substitute any Prize (or portion thereof) with a Prize of equal or greater value for any reason in their sole discretion, including if a Prize (or portion thereof) becomes unavailable. The Prize cannot be transferred or substituted by the Winner, redeemed for cash, given, bartered, or sold, and must be booked directly through the Celebrity Cruises Sales department No more than the stated Prizes will be awarded. Once Winner’s selected Guest and, where applicable, itinerary and/or travel dates have been confirmed by Sponsor and/or Prize Partner, they may not be changed except as permitted by Sponsor or Prize Partner (as applicable and in their respective sole discretion). Any mailed Prize element will only be mailed or otherwise provided to the verified Winner’s address in Wyoming, unless Sponsor, in its sole discretion, agrees otherwise. Each Entrant waives the right to assert, as a cost of winning any Prize, any and all costs of verification and redemption or travel to claim the Prize and any liability and publicity which might arise from claiming or seeking to claim said Prize.
For Prizes that include international travel, Winner and Guest will each be required to have (or be able to obtain) a valid United States Passport (the “Passport”) that is valid for at least three (3) months after the anticipated date of departure from the international jurisdiction. All costs associated with obtaining or expediting a Passport will be the sole responsibility of the Winner and Guest. The Released Parties (as defined below) are not liable for any expenses incurred from denial of entry to an international jurisdiction or reentry to the United States. Winner and Guest will be required to verify their Passport status, as directed, before the Prize can be fulfilled.
By accepting the Prize, Winner and the Guest expressly assume the risk that they may be exposed to COVID-19, the coronavirus that causes COVID-19, or other communicable and infectious diseases. Winner and Guest expressly understand that these risks include contracting COVID-19 or other communicable and infectious diseases and the associated dangers, medical complications, and physical and mental injuries, both foreseen and unforeseen, that may result from contracting COVID-19 or other communicable and/or infectious diseases. In addition, Winner and Guest must abide by all applicable regulations, ordinances, and trip-specific rules, including any proof of vaccination requirements.
Trip Conduct: Winner and Guest shall conduct themselves with due regard to the public conventions and morals during their trip. Winner and Guest shall not commit any offense involving moral turpitude under local laws or ordinances. Winner and Guest shall not commit any act that would tend to degrade the Sponsor or Prize Partner in society or bring the Sponsor or Prize Partner into public hatred, public disrepute, contempt, scorn, or ridicule or that would tend to shock, insult or offend the community or public morals or decency or prejudice Sponsor or Prize Partner. If Winner or Guest engages in the above or behavior that (as determined by Sponsor or Prize Partner in their sole discretion) is obnoxious or threatening, illegal, or that is intended to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other person, Sponsor and Prize Partner reserve the right to terminate the Winner’s trip early and send the Winner and Guest home with no further obligation or compensation.
Winner agrees that the Prize is provided as-is without any warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, whether now known or hereinafter enacted, relative to the use or enjoyment of the Prize, including, without limitation, its quality, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Further, Winner agrees that the Released Parties are not responsible in any way for any additional expenses, omissions, delays, or re-routing resulting from any acts of any government or authority. Winner acknowledges that they are solely responsible for any actions, claims, or liabilities of their Guest related to any Sweepstakes-related activity, including, without limitation, any actions, claims or liabilities related to guest’s participation in the Prize trip.
6. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION/RELEASES: All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. By participating, each Entrant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which shall be final and binding in all respects. Each Entrant agrees to release Sponsor and its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, representatives, consultants, contractors, legal counsel, advertising, public relations, promotional, fulfillment, and marketing agencies, any other entity participating in the design, administration, or fulfillment of this Sweepstakes, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives, designees, and agents (together with Prize Provider, the "Released Parties") from any and all actions, claims, injury, loss or damage (including attorneys’ fees) arising in any manner, directly or indirectly, from participation in this Sweepstakes and acceptance, preparation for, or use of the Prize. Each Entrant authorizes Sponsor and its designees to use their name, likeness, voice, statements, photo, video, biographical data, city, and state of residence, and any other personal attribute protectable under applicable law in advertising, marketing, programming, or promotional materials, worldwide in perpetuity, and on a publicly available winners’ list, if applicable, without further compensation, unless prohibited by law. Sponsor is not obligated to use any of the above-mentioned information or publicity materials but may do so and edit such information or materials at Sponsor’s sole discretion without further obligation or compensation. The Released Parties shall not be liable for: (i) any injuries, losses, liabilities or damages of any kind including personal injury or death caused by the Prize or resulting from acceptance, possession or use of the Prize, including participation in any activity related thereto, or from participation in the Sweepstakes; (ii) telephone system, telephone or computer hardware, software or other technical or computer malfunctions, lost connections, disconnections, delays or transmission errors; (iii) data corruption, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of entry or other materials; (iv) late, lost, delayed, stolen, misdirected, postage-due, incomplete, unreadable, inaccurate, garbled or unintelligible entries, communications or affidavits, regardless of the method of transmission; (v) any inability of Winner to accept or use the Prize (or portion thereof) for any reason and such Prize or portion thereof shall be forfeited; or (vi) any printing, typographical, human, administrative, or technological errors in any materials or activities associated with the Sweepstakes, including the acceptance and processing of purported entries and the selection or notification of the Winner. Released Parties disclaim any liability for damage to any computer system resulting from participating in, accessing, or downloading information in connection with the Sweepstakes. Released Parties are not responsible for electronic communications that are undeliverable or do not reach Entrant(s) as a result of any form of active or passive filtering of any kind or insufficient space in a Potential Winner’s email or voicemail inbox to receive messages. Released Parties are not responsible, and may disqualify you, if your email address or other contact information does not work or is changed prior to fulfillment of the Prize. The failure of Released Parties to comply with any provision of these Official Rules due to an act of God, pandemic, hurricane, war, fire, riot, earthquake, terrorism, act of public enemies, actions of governmental authorities outside of the control of Sponsor (excepting compliance with applicable codes and regulations), or other “force majeure” event will not be considered a breach of these Official Rules. Sponsor reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to cancel, modify, or suspend the Sweepstakes (or any portion of the Sweepstakes) at any time should a virus, bug, computer problem, unauthorized intervention, extenuating circumstance, or other problem/cause corrupt or inhibit the administration, security or proper play of the Sweepstakes or render the Sweepstakes incapable of operating as planned for any reason and, in such situation, will select the Potential Winner from eligible non-suspect entries received before or after such action or in such manner as deemed fair and appropriate by Sponsor in its discretion. Sponsor may prohibit Entrant(s) from participating in the Sweepstakes or winning the Prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines Entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes by cheating, hacking, deception, or any other unfair practices or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other Entrants or Sponsor. Any attempt to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes may be in violation of criminal and civil laws and will result in disqualification from participation in the Sweepstakes. Should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent of the law, including criminal prosecution.
By participating in the Sweepstakes, each Entrant agrees that, to the extent permitted by applicable law, (1) any and all claims, judgments, and awards will be limited to actual third-party, out-of-pocket costs incurred (if any) in participating in the Sweepstakes not to exceed ten dollars ($10.00), but in no event will attorneys’ fees be awarded or recoverable; (2) under no circumstances will any Entrant be permitted to obtain any award for, and the Entrant hereby knowingly and expressly waives all rights to seek, punitive, incidental, consequential or special damages, lost profits, and/or any rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased; and (3) Entrants’ remedies are limited to a claim for money damages (if any) and Entrant irrevocably waives any right to seek injunctive or equitable relief (provided that nothing in these Official Rules will restrict a California resident’s right under applicable law (if any) to seek public-injunctive relief as otherwise in accordance with the dispute-resolution provision of these Official Rules). Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitations or exclusion of liability, so the above may not apply to you.
Each Entrant understands and agrees that all rights under section 1542 of the Civil Code of California and any similar law of any state or territory of the United States are hereby expressly waived by them. Section 1542 reads: “A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release and that, if known by him or her, would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party.”
7. INDEMNITY: Each Entrant shall indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any and all claims, damages, actions, liability, loss, injury, or expense, including reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs, arising out of or in connection with (a) participation in the Sweepstakes; (b) a breach or allegation which if true would constitute a breach of any of the representations, warranties or obligations herein or violation of these Official Rules; and (c) acceptance, possession, grant, or use of the Prize, including without limitation, personal injury, death and property damage arising therefrom.
8. DISPUTES: This Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, without respect to any choice of law or conflict of law principles that would result in the application of any law other than that of California. As a condition of participating in this Sweepstakes, Entrants agree that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties and causes of action arising out of or in connection with this Sweepstakes shall be resolved per the arbitration provision set forth below.
9. ARBITRATION PROVISION: By participating in this Sweepstakes, each Entrant agrees that, wherever enforceable, any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, this Sweepstakes, including without limitation, any alleged violation of these Official Rules, any controversy relating to the arbitrariness of any dispute, or any claim that the Sweepstakes, or any part thereof, is invalid, illegal or otherwise voidable (or void), shall be resolved exclusively by arbitration to be held solely in San Francisco, California (unless otherwise agreed to by Sponsor or required by the applicable arbitrator’s rules) under the auspices of the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) and pursuant to its Consumer Arbitration Rules and Procedures, provided that – if AAA is unable or unwilling to hear the dispute for any reason, arbitration may be conducted before JAMS, Inc. or another mutually agreed upon arbitration service. Any such controversy or claim shall be arbitrated individually and shall not be consolidated in any arbitration with any claim or controversy of any other party. Judgment upon the arbitration award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof. This arbitration provision shall be deemed self-executing, and if either party fails to appear at any properly noticed arbitration proceeding, an award may be entered against such party notwithstanding said failure to appear. In no event shall an Entrant seek or be entitled to rescission, injunctive, or other equitable relief or to enjoin or restrain the operation of this Sweepstakes. For any matters that are not subject to arbitration as set forth in these Official Rules and/or in connection with the entering of any judgment on an arbitration award in connection with these Official Rules and the Sweepstakes, the parties irrevocably submit and consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in or having jurisdiction over San Francisco County, California. The parties agree not to raise the defense of forum non conveniens.
10. PRIVACY POLICY: The information provided by Entrants will only be used as provided in Sponsor’s privacy policy or these Official Rules. See Sponsor’s privacy policy at /privacy-policy (“Privacy Policy”) for details regarding the use of the personal information collected in connection with this Sweepstakes. By participating, and without limiting any other provision in these Official Rules or the Privacy Policy, (i) Entrants hereby agree to Sponsor’s collection and usage of their personal information and acknowledges that they have read and accepted the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy, and (ii) Winner agrees that their personal information may be shared for purposes of Prize fulfillment and may thereafter be subject to the privacy policies of Prize Provider.
11. RULES/LIST OF WINNERS: A copy of these Official Rules is available during the Sweepstakes Period by visiting mwg.aaa.com/lp/cheyenne-sweepstakes. To obtain the name of the Winner (first name, last initial, city, and state only), send a request to "AAA Cheyenne Grand Opening Cruise Giveaway – Winner Request" 1277 Treat Boulevard, Suite 1000, Walnut Creek, CA 94597. Requests must be received no later than December 23, 2025.
