AAA Motorcycle and RV Insurance Explained
Everything you need to know about motorcycle and RV insurance.
Auto insurance covers your wheels, but it’s also important to make sure your “summer toys” are insured. Whether your adventures entail a cross-country motorcycle adventure, a week in a camper at the lake, or an RV road trip through the High Sierra, protect the vehicles that take you there.
Motorcycles, as well as collector cars and boats, are generally not covered under standard auto or homeowners policies. Specialty policies for these vehicles offer broader coverage and options, specialized claims handling and customer service, and, sometimes, additional discounts for mature riders, completing training courses, and memberships in rider associations or clubs.
Motorcycle insurance
Ahh, there’s nothing quite like the freedom of hitting the road on two wheels! Show your motorcycle or scooter some love and get it covered. Motorcycle insurance offers replacement cost coverage and travel loss reimbursement, and might also include coverage for permanently attached accessories, safety apparel and helmets.
If you join AAA Plus Motorcycle or AAA Plus RV & Motorcycle (both available only in Arizona), your Membership includes roadside service for your bike or any car you're in. Your benefits include emergency fuel delivery, towing (up to 100 miles per incident), and locksmith service.
So jump on your bike and enjoy the ride, knowing that if you get into a pinch, AAA is just a phone call away.
RV insurance
The convenience and flexibility of RV travel is hard to beat. Of course, if something happens while you're on the road trip of a lifetime, you'll want to make sure your insurance has you covered. RV insurance generally provides (up to policy limits) bodily injury, property damage, collision and comprehensive, uninsured motorist coverage, and medical payments coverage.
If you're calling your RV your home, speak to your insurance agent about personal property coverage, and travel expenses coverage in case you need a place to stay and new wheels while your RV is being repaired.
And if your rig breaks down, repairs can be costly. Happily, if you join AAA Plus RV Membership plans (available in Arizona and Utah) you will get help during times of trouble. AAA Plus RV includes emergency fuel delivery, tire changes, locksmith service reimbursement, and battery service. If you break down, AAA offers towing (up to 100 miles per incident), and if your RV gets stuck between a rock and a hard place (or anywhere else), you’ll get winching and extrication services.
