1) My cameras are not working. What should I do?
If you have replaced your router, or have changed your Wi-Fi network settings, you will need to re-connect the video or doorbell camera to your network. In the A3 Smart Home Mobile App, select ‘Troubleshoot’ for the camera that is not working and follow the instructions.
2) How do I manage my video clip recordings?
1. Sign in to the A3 Smart Home Mobile App.
2. Click "Video."
3. To start recording, click the play button for your camera.
4. Click the record icon in the top right.
5. Tap OK.
3) How do I view recorded video clips that have been saved?
1. Sign in to the A3 Smart Home Mobile App.
2. Click "Video."
3. Select "Live" to view the live video feed or "Saved" to view any recorded clips.
4) How do I download and save video clips?
1. Sign in to the A3 Smart Home Mobile App.
2. Click "Video."
3. Select "Saved" at the top of the page.
4. Click the thumbnail of the video you wish to download.
5. Tap the download icon in the bottom left corner to complete.
5) How do I set up video recording rules?
1. Sign in to the A3 Smart Home Mobile App.
2. Click "Video."
3. Tap "Recording Rules."
4. Click "Add."
5. Select the type of rule to create (i.e. Video Motion Detection, Alarm, Sensor Opened or Closed).
6. Enter a name for that rule and configure rules settings.
6) How do I set up video clip recipients?
1. Sign in to the A3 Smart Home Mobile App.
2.Under "Video Clip Recipients," click the "Add" button.
3. Enter recipients in the address book to be notified.
4. Click "Close."
5. Each recipient will have its own dropdown menu to select the type of notification you wish them to receive. (I.e. Text Only, Attach a Video Clip)
7) How do I pause a video recording rule?
1. Sign in to the A3 Smart Home Mobile App.
2. Click "Video."
3. Tap "Settings"
3. Tap "Recording Rules."
4. Tap the toggle switch next to the recording rule you would like to pause or resume.
8) How do I delete video clips?
1. Sign in to the A3 Smart Home Mobile App.
2. Click "Video."
3. Select "Saved" at the top of the page.
4. Check the box to the left of each video you'd like to delete.
5. Click the trash icon in the upper right corner, followed by "Delete."
*Please note: video clips cannot be retrieved once deleted.
9) How can I view my continuously recorded footage?
1. Sign in to the A3 Smart Home Mobile App.
2. Click "Video."
3. Select "Live."
4. Tap on the video camera icon for the desired camera you wish to view footage from.
10) How do I view and talk through live view on the mobile app?
To view live video:
1. Sign in to the A3 Smart Home Mobile App.
2. Click "Video."
3. Tap the play button for the desired camera you wish to view.
To talk through the video camera:
1. Sign in to the A3 Smart Home Mobile App.
2. Click "Video."
3. Hold the green button on the desired camera that reads "Hold to Talk."
4. Click "End Call" when finished.
11) How do I stream live view video from my control panel?
Simply click the thumbnail of the camera you wish to view under "Live Video Cameras" on your control panel. Full screen mode can be activated by clicking on the play button for each individual camera.
If you are noticing excess clips being recorded of events such as wind blowing trees/branches, or perhaps a pet constantly triggering a backyard camera, or even picking up traffic, you can adjust your cameras’ recording rules to minimize excess recordings. To do so, follow the steps below to adjust your cameras’ recording rules.
1. Sign in to the A3 Smart Home Mobile App.
2. Tap “Video.”
3. Tap “Configure.”
4. Tap “Recording Rules.”
5. Tap “Add.”
6. Tap “Video Analytics.”
