Meet Maureen Sullivan. Protecting and serving others is in her DNA, just like AAA. To her, helping AAA Smart Home Residents is more than just a job, it’s a higher calling.
What makes you proud to work at AAA?
For the past 100 years, AAA has been known for helping others when they need it the most. I am PROUD that I work for a company that has that kind of history and trust, especially since our Members and communities need us now more than ever.
You are celebrating your five-year anniversary with AAA. What motivates you to come to work every day?
My Team Members, Members and the Residents we serve are what keep me coming back every day. The saying “time flies when you are having fun” is true at a place like AAA Smart Home. When you work alongside driven Team Members, work doesn’t feel like work, but rather like a purpose.
What AAA values (humility, integrity, teamwork, service) have you leaned on to remain resilient?
I lean heavily on integrity, teamwork and service. In my five years at AAA, I have learned the importance of teamwork and leading with integrity. Both are vital to creating a great work environment.
What is your Proudest AAA moment?
My proudest moment happened soon after I began working at AAA. I was able to help a Resident with a 911 call for a fall he had. I stayed with him and made him comfortable until emergency services arrived to treat him.
What would people be surprised to learn about you?
I think people would be surprised to know that prior to working in the home security industry, I worked for the state of Massachusetts in the Department of Corrections for more than 15 years. While it was a challenging position at times, I believe my desire to protect and serve others is what ultimately led me to AAA Smart Home.
