  • Oil changes: Aim for an oil change every 3,000 to 7,000 miles, depending on your car and driving habits.
  • Tire rotations: Rotate your tires roughly every other oil change. This helps prevent uneven wear and is important for safety and longevity.
  • Fluid level checks: Your car relies on various fluids to operate properly. Check your levels before long trips or every three months.
  • Battery testing: Have your battery tested ahead of long trips or every three months, especially in extreme temperatures.
  • Fluid exchanges: These are deeper flushes of your car's systems (think coolant, brake, power steering, and transmission). Follow your vehicle manufacturer's recommendations for fluid exchanges, which typically occur at intervals like 30K, 60K, and 90K miles.
  • Brake inspections: Have your brakes inspected before any long trip and at least once a year.
  • Cabin air filter replacement: The only way to know a replacement is necessary is to physically check, which is usually done during your routine oil change. If you're experiencing reduced or weak airflow, even when the fan is on high, a clogged filter could be the culprit.
  • Engine air filter replacement: A clogged engine air filter can negatively impact your vehicle’s performance. To prevent potential loss of power and reduced fuel economy, have it checked during each oil change.
  • Multipoint vehicle inspection: Comprehensive check-ups are essential. Schedule a multipoint inspection at least once a year to catch potential problems early.

While the owner’s manual for your vehicle is the best source for specific maintenance schedules, you can always consult with our trusted technicians at AAA Auto Repair Centers and AAA Approved Auto Repair Facilities for advice.
