AAA Classic is our basic roadside assistance Membership, and comes with 24/7 roadside support. With a Classic Membership, you get five miles per tow, emergency fuel delivery, flat tire service, lockout service, and more—all for just $64.99 a year.
What does AAA Classic Membership include?
Classic Membership comes with 24/7 roadside assistance, which includes up to four roadside events per year,1 as well as many other valuable benefits.
Roadside Assistance
- 5 miles per tow, or a tow to the nearest AAA Approved Auto Repair Center (additional mileage costs extra)
- Battery jump start or replacement (battery costs extra; Members can save $32 on AAA Batteries2)
- Emergency fuel delivery (additional cost for fuel)
- Spare tire installation
- Car lockout assistance (up to $50 locksmith reimbursement)
- Winching service
- Minor mechanical repair
Emergency roadside assistance is available 48 hours after purchasing AAA Membership.

Yes, Members can receive roadside assistance in a rental car, whether you’re the driver or a passenger. Just have your AAA Classic Membership Card ready to show that you are covered.
You can use your AAA Classic Membership if you are a passenger in someone else’s car and need roadside assistance. If you are not present at the scene, however, the owner of the vehicle cannot use your benefits. You may add household Members to your plan at a reduced price. That way, your household Members can enjoy AAA benefits even when you’re not with them.
