Giselle Kennedy Lord is a storyteller and media producer, always and forever focused on food culture and agriculture. She holds a master’s degree in gastronomy from Boston University and was named a 2018 James Beard National Scholar Northwest. The Ark of Taste: Delicious and Distinctive Foods that Define the United States, a book Giselle co-authored, was nominated for a 2024 James Beard Media Award. Giselle became enamored with the idea for the Ark of Taste while working as the director of communications for Slow Food USA, where she championed the preservation of food culture and the importance of biodiversity. Giselle lives in Portland, Oregon, with her husband and son. They travel (to eat) as often as possible.
