Tim Neville is an avid hiker, fly fisher, skier and language learner who has traveled to nearly 80 countries to report his stories, some of which he has discussed on The Splendid Table, Travel with Rick Steves, and NPR’s Morning Edition. He lives in Central Oregon with his wife and daughter, and he has been writing for Via since 2012.

He is a correspondent for Outside magazine and freelancer for the New York Times, the Seattle Times, and CNN. His work has also been published in The Best American Travel Writing, The Best American Sports Writing and Best Food Writing series as well as in other anthologies.
