Tim Neville is a correspondent for Outside magazine and freelancer for The New York Times whose work has been included in Best American Travel Writing, Best American Sports Writing and Best Food Writing among other anthologies. An avid hiker, fly fisher, skier and language learner, Tim has traveled to nearly 80 countries to report his stories, some of which he has discussed on The Splendid Table, Travel with Rick Steves and NPR’s Morning Edition. The Society of American Travel Writers once named him the (second) best travel writer of the year. He lives in Central Oregon with his wife and daughter, and has been writing for Via since 2012.
